Alumni Notes for June 2007

Kevin Nolan H’70 moved to Nashville in 2003. He has three great kids, 17,13,12 years of age, got remarried in Sept 2006, and my best man was Marcus Shelton H’70. It was held in a 200 year old home which reminded both of them of Hardey. Picture is of Marcus and Kevin’s wife, Kay.

Alexandra Rieb A’75 lives in Freiburg, Germany where, until recently, worked as an administrator at International House Freiburg. She currently is starting a translation business. She lived in Tunisia previously working in tourism. It is there she met her husband, married in 2003. Before that, she lived in London where she holds her degree - BA Hons Arabic and Turkish.

Elizabeth Zane A’75 was seen in Paris by former faculty member, Sylvia Rovito. Sylvia went to a club called the Swan Bar to see Lisa sing. “She has a wonderful voice and sings bluesy songs. She is quite talented! Check her out at her web site LisaZane.com. You can play her songs.

Anna (Roque) Henning A’79 ASH’83 returned to the U.S. in August 2006 after living in Bosnia for 3.5 years. She now lives in Arlington, VA. She and her husband, Michael, have one son, Max who is 2. She is a political analyst with the National Counterterrorism Center.

Jill Nechin Revivo ASH’84 and her husband, Gadi, welcomed their daughter, Alexandra, on April 7, 2005. She just turned two. We currently live in San Diego, but hope to return to Chicago soon.

Jennifer (Malloy) Quinlan ASH’85 is a stay at home mom to her three wonderful kids. David is six and in kindergarten, Maisie is three going on 36 and William is two and fits the profile perfectly. Her husband Bob works for Intelligentsia Coffee in Chicago. Jennifer runs into former classmates every now and again. She has also informed several astonished people that yes, there was in fact a high school in addition to the Academy and Hardey Prep not so long ago. She cannot believe it has been 22 years.

Marcus Kurucz, MD H’88 has joined the Medical Staff at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana. He is also affiliated with Jasper Surgical Associates.

Melissa Curran A’90 and her husband, Adam, welcomed their first child, Oliver, in 2006. She has lived in San Francisco for the past 9 years after receiving her Masters degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford. They visit Chicago as much as possible.

Dr. Rami Abielmona H’92 Completed his Bachelor, Master's and Doctorate degrees at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Canada, all in computer and electrical engineering. Working as a chief research scientist for a sensor networking solutions company called Larus Technologies Corp. based out of Ottawa, Canada.
