Several years ago, we began a holiday family event for our families that has become a treasured celebration. Through the year, we receive many wonderful donations of gently used toys and books that we save for this event. We invite each of our families – parents only - to come to this event and ‘shop’ for their children. They can choose gifts, wrap the gifts and enjoy each other’s company, as well as several hours of peace and quiet!
This year our event is Tuesday December 18 from 4:00 – 6:30 PM. This year, we have enrolled 42 families, with most of the children at or under two years of age. We have a great need for gently used toys and books in good condition for this age group. We are asking families to help us if they can and donate a gently used toy, which is no longer being used, to this celebration. Examples include books, shape sorters, pull toys, push toys such as grocery carts and baby carriages, soft blocks, pop-up toys, balls, knob puzzles, stacking toys, musical toys, baby dolls, and all kinds of simple baby toys.

Children of the Heart Program Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM until December 14. Additional Wednesday and Friday dates will be posted as they are confirmed.

We Have Moved! Children of the Heart has moved to our new home in Sacred Heart Schools.
You will find us on Rosemont Avenue, at the corner of Sheridan Road.
We will be located on the 6th floor, and we have an elevator.
