Sacred Heart is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), a membership organization of about 200 independent schools from 13 states of the Midwest region. The purpose of ISACS is to promote the development of strong learning communities characterized by high achievements, social responsibility and independence of governance, programs and policies. This goal is achieved through a rigorous accreditation process, targeted professional development programs and focused support services.

Sacred Heart is a member of the Lake Michigan Association of Independent Schools (LMAIS), a non-profit organization established to promote educational excellence by: supporting the interests of independent schools in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana; building strong relationships between independent schools and creating innovative opportunities in professional development for the faculty, staff and administrators in independent schools.
National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)

NAIS represents more than 1,500 independent schools and associations in the United States, and affiliates with independent schools abroad as well.

Each of the 24 member schools in the U.S. and Canada was founded by the Society of the Sacred Heart and continues to share a deep commitment to the educational philosophy first articulated by St. Madeleine Sophie Barat and now expressed in the Goals and Criteria.
