Sacred Heart Schools' educational mission is guided by a commitment to social awareness and active community engagement. The world in which our students now and will live as adults is a global community where a rich variety of beliefs, traditions, native languages, and perspectives exist. An understanding of and appreciation for these differences must be an outcome of a Sacred Heart education. Situated in the Edgewater community of Chicago, Sacred Heart is dedicated to maintaining a student body that embraces and reflects the rich diversity of its urban environment.
As the Schools' enrollment has grown so has the need for more financial assistance. The Schools' financial assistance budget has increased over 35% since the 2001-2002 school year. Each year a larger number of families are qualifying for an increasing amount of financial support. We believe that high-quality educational opportunities must be accessible to families regardless of their ethnic, racial, religious or socioeconomic backgrounds. Increasing financial aid is essential to serving our educational goals and the needs of the community.
Our goal is to:
Build a financial assistance endowment that will support current and future families' abilities to meet the demands of tuition as well as the day-to-day costs of sending one's children to Sacred Heart Schools.
Create funding sources to meet the needs of all our students, using as a model the Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund, established with a $500,000 grant in 2002 to provide need-based financial assistance annually for Hispanic/Latino students.

“Called to be ‘women of communion, compassion and reconciliation', it is not enough to appreciate our multiculturality. We are impelled to enter into the reality of the other, to allow our boundaries to be expanded in truly reciprocal and hospitable relationships.”
