Since September 25, 1929, Sacred Heart Schools has been a landmark presence on Sheridan Road. Today, nearly 60,000 cars drive by our campus daily and admire the Gothic Revival façade and ornamental terra cotta of the 6250 Building and our 6200 House, one of the last remaining grand homes on North Sheridan Road in Chicago. The Campbell Building, opened in 1964, is named after the Honorable William J. Campbell, longtime advisor, friend, and past parent of Sacred Heart Schools and is currently the only school space large enough to accommodate the entire student and faculty body.
Sacred Heart Schools takes seriously our role as an integral member of the Edgewater neighborhood. Helping to make Edgewater a safe, desirable place to live and work is a Sacred Heart Schools' priority. We seek to offer a beautiful space – a place of refuge, rest, and tranquility – to our neighbors as well as our students.
The goals of the Campus Beautification Initiative are to:
Fully restore and renovate the interior and exterior of the 6200 House, including repair of the foundation, masonry, and tuckpointing and replacement of the roof (below):

Enhance the landscaping along the Sheridan Road corridor
Enhance the east exterior façade and develop a new entranceway to the Campbell Building
Provide updated gymnasium lighting and a new HVAC system in the Campbell Building
