Scientific and technological literacy have become a necessity for everyone. All institutions face the challenge of keeping up to date on the constantly changing world of scientific discovery and information retrieval, exchange, synthesis and presentation. Anticipating and responding to this constantly changing landscape is key to preparing our young people for the scientific and technological demands of high school, college, and the world beyond. All children should have access to rigorous and creative hands-on activities that engage them in the discovery of the wonders of science and technology.
Our goals are to:
Support innovative integration of technology across the curriculum including ongoing faculty development opportunities
Provide students and teachers ongoing access to state-of-the-art science tools, materials, media, and technological resources
Expand inquiry and project-based learning opportunities
Extend technology-focused learning opportunities outside of the school day and school-setting
Update computer and science lab equipment on a 3-4 year cycle
