Sacred Heart Schools is located on the northeast side of Chicago, overlooking Lake Michigan, just south of Loyola University and Evanston.

Directions

From the North
From I-94 E or US-41 S, exit east on W Touhy Ave. Turn right at N Lincoln Ave. Turn left at W Devon Ave and continue east to N Sheridan Rd.

From the South
From I-90 W or I-94 W, exit I-55 N to N Lake Shore Dr. Take N Lake Shore Dr (US-41) north to Hollywood. Turn right at Sheridan Rd.

Transportation

The Schools are served by public transportation, with bus stops near the Schools' front door (CTA routes #147 and #151). The Granville "L" station (Red Line) is located 1-1/2 blocks west of the Schools. Car pools are coordinated by parent volunteers.

Parking

Parking at Sacred Heart Schools is limited to two lots:
6200 North Sheridan Road (main lot). Enter from Sheridan Road or Granville
6215 North Kenmore (auxiliary lot). Enter from Kenmore Ave. (one way going north)

Until 4 pm, parking is permitted at the lot of our neighbor, the Ismaili Center, located at the NE corner of Broadway and Rosemont. Push gate if closed. Parking is free. After 4 pm, cars will be towed.

Parking fee of $10 for two hours.

Bus Transportation

The SHS Bus Program is run 100% by parent volunteers in cooperation with the Schools. Eight buses provide service to and from Sacred Heart Schools in several neighborhoods where our children live - from the Gold Coast on the south, Lincoln Square on the north, Lincoln Park on the east and Lake View on the west. The stops are centrally located where our families are “clustered.” The bus program accommodates children in all grades (K-8). Buses arrive at school for the 8:30 am start time, and depart at 3:40 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 2:45 pm on Fridays.

Bus stops and routes are based on many criteria, including safety of the bus stop location, number of stops, and location of residences. Bus availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Some of the buses are currently at capacity.

Register online

Priority is given to existing bus-riders who register during the early registration period. Space allocation is determined by bus color registration and seniority. All others will be accommodated if space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
