Admissions Process
The admissions process is initiated when a prospective family submits an application. The Admissions Office acknowledges receipt of the application detailing the steps remaining in the process. These steps vary somewhat depending on the grade to which the family is applying.
We invite you to read further for specific information on the admissions process for Kindergarten, first grade, and grades two through seven.
Kindergarten: Early Decision (2014-2015)
Kindergarten: Regular Decision (2013-2014)
First Grade
Second through Seventh Grade
All applicant parents tour the Schools and meet with a member of the Admissions staff. Each child meets individually with one of our Assessment practitioners. We observe younger children at play in their preschool programs whenever possible; when we cannot, we ask that they attend a play party at Sacred Heart. Older students spend a day shadowing classes at their grade level. We ask for recommendations from applicants’ current teachers and review report cards and standardized testing for children applying after Kindergarten.
Our objective throughout the admissions process is to insure a good match between our program and our students, and to guarantee our parent body is knowledgeable about, comfortable with and confident in our philosophy and practice.
