Elisa Gutierrez-Patterson A'08 is working as a research intern for award-winning journalist Maria Hinojosa and her team on the PBS documentary series, America By The Numbers. Elisa is regularly assigned topics to research, which means she reaches out to organizations and individuals to gather information for each show.
Three years after opening her own Pilates studio, Angela Pawlicki A'96 is already seeing great success! Amplified Pilates was recently featured on WGN's Living Healthy Chicago. Angela attributes the growth of Amplified Pilates to the virtues she carries through her personal life—many of which she learned at Sacred Heart—and applying them to her business.
Mass of Remembrance is said yearly in honor of those in the SHS community who have gone before us. On Nov. 3, SHS alumni and parents attended the mass, along with the Academy and Hardey Grade 8.
From showcasing her vocal talent at the Schools Rock Talent Show to flexing her acting chops in three SHS musicals, Jane Patti A'13 is no stranger to the stage. Now, as a sophomore at St. Ignatius, Jane will take the stage at the McLaughlin Theatre, performing in Shrek: The Musical on November 7-16. Good luck, Jane!
Writers are often viewed as solitary creatures, alone in a room with their preferred writing instrument. But, the same can't be said for Jim Wall H'95, who spends his days on the set of ABC's hit television show, Grey's Anatomy.
This summer, Christian Coletta H8 was chosen to compete in the 80-meter dash during the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) annual youth games in Marcerata, Italy. Christian was one of 12 students from across the U.S. who was selected to travel to Italy for the games. Way to go, Christian!
Shrasta Tamrakar A'08 will be going on a Dental Brigade to Honduras in December to shadow and help dentists in communities that have limited resources to dental/health care. "This weeklong trip will not only help me experience a wonderful journey but will also help those in need of basic healthcare services," Shrasta said.
