Sacred Heart celebrated the Feast of Mater Admirabilis on Friday, October 17 with a mass and performance by Hardey and Academy Primary School students.
For more than 20 years, SHS 7th graders have ventured to Huntsville, Alabama, for Space Academy to be astronauts in training for a week. Their new skills are put to the test as they are assigned different tasks in the simulated Orbiter, Mission Control and International Space Station.
Alexandra Verdoscia A'06 is helping to increase awareness of World Teachers' Day on October 5, as part of the UNESCO initiative that began in 1994. Alexandra recently graduated from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and is currently working at UNESCO in Paris.
More than 100 members of the Sacred Heart community came out to support the Schools' at the Edgewater 5K on Sept. 28! Sacred Heart ranked second for neighborhood school participation. Many thanks to all the participants and supporters!
Through October 19, the Loyola University Museum of Art is featuring the exhibit "Crossings and Dwellings: Restored Jesuits, Women Religious, American Experience, 1814–2014." You can check out the exhibit as part of Reunion Weekend to be held October 17-18 at Sacred Heart Schools.
