Our longstanding Sacred Heart commitment to global education is paying off. Lauren Betuzzi of Sacred Heart Schools A’08 and Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart ’11 has made her way to Singapore.
According to a blog post on the Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart website dated February 9, 2013, Lauren Betuzzi is studying abroad in Singapore through the Global Citizen’s program at Villanova University. The program consists of eight weeks of classes and an eight-week internship at a business firm running from January 9 to May 4.
“I am happy to announce that in March I will be interning at KPMG, one of the Big Four Accounting firms.” Betuzzi said.
Betuzzi also, “I know I would not be in this humid Singapore weather if it were not for my experience at Woodlands.”
Betuzzi has even encouraged her sister to participate in an exchange program because she knows it will allow her to gain opportunities that she never thought possible.
“Woodlands provides a great opportunity to let its students be exposed to the global world which will aid them as businesses and the world move towards a global market. I would highly encourage any girl at Woodlands to participate in an exchange program, especially in a foreign country.”
