There are many ways to make a tax-deductible gift to Sacred Heart Schools. No matter which method you choose, your support is deeply appreciated.

Check, Credit Card and Money Orders

Foundation Gifts: Gifts made by a private family foundation or donor advised fund on behalf of an individual or family will be credited to the donor’s giving record, as appropriate. Please notify the Development Office of any intended gift through a foundation to ensure that it is correctly attributed. Pledge

A pledge is a promise to make a specified gift within a designated time period. Annual Fund pledges can be accepted over the phone; pledges to other campaigns should be made in writing by mail or e-mail. Pledge payment reminders are typically mailed semi-annually in December and April.

Annual Fund pledges should be completed within the fiscal year in which the pledge is made. Major gifts for endowment or capital purposes are often completed in installments over multiple years.

Marketable Securities

Wire Transfer

Employer Matching Gifts

Many corporations will match gifts to educational and religious institutions. Matching gift programs are a great way to double or triple the size of your gift.

Planned Gifts

Wills, charitable remainder trusts, and life insurance policies offer the opportunity for leaving a lasting legacy to benefit future Sacred Heart students, while providing the donor with income, tax, and personal benefits. Gift-In-Kind

Tangible Personal Property

Items that have appreciated in value such as books, works of art, coin collections or antiques may be given as charitable gifts. The charitable deduction depends on appraised value. Gifts of personal property are accepted if they can serve a worthwhile purpose in the life of the Schools. Contact Lindsey Lopez, Development Director, at (773) 681-8410.

The Schools are entirely self-supporting and do not receive subsidies from the Catholic Church or the Society of the Sacred Heart. As a 501 (C)(3), not-for-profit institution, gifts to Sacred Heart (Federal Tax ID #36-2170839) are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. All gifts made between July 1 and June 30 are recognized in our Annual Report, mailed in the fall each year.
