Academy 4th graders from Sacred Heart Schools and their Network of Sacred Heart schools cohorts from Stone Ridge enjoyed a wonderful week of camp at Sprout Creek Farm this summer.
Sprout Creek Farm is a working farm, an educational center, a retail market, a peaceful sanctuary, a summer camp, and a place for intellectual inquiry owned and operated by the RSCJ.
The girls slept in cabins, milked cows and goats, ate what they harvested, had camp fires, sang songs, and swam in the creek.
According to mom Carolann, "It's truly an excellent camp for girls to learn what it is really like to live on a farm and to appreciate nature, as well as meet girls from other Sacred Heart schools."
The Society of the Sacred Heart has been involved with Sprout Creek Farm since 1982 and many Sacred Heart students from around the country visit this camp each summer.
