At Sacred Heart, for over a decade, the whole school community has gathered with ministers from a number of traditions to celebrate what binds our community together as Christians. This year, the service was held January 28.
Parable puppet shows, creating meaningful poetry, building of Little Free Libraries for Howard Area and watching The Empowerment Project were just some of the avenues our students followed in expressing Sacred Heart's commitment to peace and social justice!
On this Justice Day, Jan. 23, students and faculty will take time off from their regular routine to spend the day learning about issues of peace and justice. This year, Justice Day's organizing theme is the Parable of the Sower.
On Jan. 21, Sacred Heart 2nd graders watched a webinar that was live-streamed from Antarctica! The webinar featured information on the beloved Antarctica penguins, as well as live footage from the continent.
SHS students are raising funds to support Comer Children's Hospital by selling bagels and juice in the cafeteria before school on January 15 and 16. Each month, SHS Bagel Sales support a different student-proposed organization.
