ALL parents of Sacred Heart Schools are members of the Parents of the Heart .
The mission of Parents of the Heart (taken directly from our bylaws), in keeping the with five Goals and Criteria of the national Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is:
• i. To sponsor activities to raise unrestricted funds for the Schools;
• ii. To create community among families by providing opportunities to participate in social activities at the Schools;
• iii. To provide opportunities for members to participate in community service activities; and
• iv. To work in conjunction with the Schools' administration to provide education and enrichment opportunities for parents through workshops, lectures and seminars on timely topics.

Commitments are contingent upon the level of participation in the events that you choose to volunteer for.

Who attends Parents of the Heart meetings and what is a typical meeting like?
Parents of the Heart meetings are held the first Thursday of every month. Meetings begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. and are held in the Multi-Purpose Room. They are approximately one hour in length. Besides current parents, Sr. Maxwell (Director of Schools), Nat Wilburn (Principal) and the Advancement Liaison to Parents of the Heart attend the monthly meetings. The meetings provide an opportunity to meet and talk to other parents. Topics of discussion are centered on upcoming events. We are also treated to news of the students in regards to academics, community service projects and their social events.

I have young children still at home. Can I bring them to the meetings?
Yes. We provide childcare during each meeting for a nominal cost.
