The goal of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character- that is the goal of true education. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dear graduates and parents of the Academy of the Sacred Heart and Hardey Preparatory,
Today begins African-American History Month and Share the Heart month on Sheridan Road! All month long, students, parents and educators will celebrate the many ways in which Sheridan Road is a place with heart. Be sure to check out our Instagram and Facebook accounts to hear from various members of our community about the significance of Sacred Heart in their lives. The month will conclude with a Sacred Heart family service day at Cradles to Crayons.
Whether it has been five months, five years, or 50 years since you've been on Sheridan Road, know you are always a part of Sacred Heart! We'd love to hear from you to share your news with other alumnae of the Academy and alumni of Hardey Preparatory.
A Valentine's Day Gift from Head of Schools Meg Steele
Long before she was Head of Schools, Meg Steele served as a primary school teacher and the Primary School Division Head. With her love for children's literature, current families have received videos of Meg reading some of her favorite books. From Halloween to Dia De Los Muertos, to the first snowfall, to Christmas, and now in anticipation of Valentine's Day, please enjoy her reading of "Heartprints" by P.K. Hallinan. This will be sure to warm your heart!
We remember the following members of the Sacred Heart community who now rest in the Sacred Heart of Jesus:
Mary Comeaux Perry ASH'60
Ann McKeown Magrady ASH'52
Marley O'Brien Carroll ASH'66
If you would like your loved one to be remembered by the Sheridan Road alumni community, please contact email@example.com.

Share YOUR Heart - The Varied Ways to Support Sheridan Road
There are many ways to continue your engagement with Sheridan Road. You can become involved in the school's national Alumni Board. You can share your experience with a prospective family to encourage their consideration of the Academy or Hardey Preparatory for their son or daughter. You can become involved as a Class Representative, serving as the liaison to your classmates, helping the school to update our contact information, and soliciting news to share via AlumE-News or Heartbeat. And/or, you can make a financial contribution to the school that formed you. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions regarding Alumni Board or Class Representative volunteer involvement.
Sheridan Road is seeking an Assistant Development Director, Alumni Relations to support the school's alumni relations efforts. An alum would be ideal for the role, but what is most important is someone with the skillset who appreciates the special mission of Sacred Heart education. The job description can be accessed here.
