Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

MONDAY, March 23, 2020

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

I hope this finds each of you healthy as we begin this second week of remote teaching and learning. Please join me in thanking our faculty and administration for their outstanding work as we implemented these new teaching platforms. As you read in the Division Head reports this past Friday, this week we will be further evolving our remote learning as we incorporate more embedded audio and video as well as Google Hangouts, Zoom, and the new Seesaw platform for the Primary and Lower Schools.

As of this past Saturday, we have restricted access to campus to only essential personnel. Additionally, and in consultation with our Board of Trustees, we have decided to abide by the Chicago Public Schools' extension of school closure and will be opening no sooner than April 20, following our scheduled spring break.

I am very grateful to you for your continued support of the school, our educators and the mission of Sacred Heart education. We continue to pray for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic and look forward to the time when we can come together in a healthy community at Sacred Heart Schools.

Blessings to you,
Nat Wilburn
Head of Schools
