From Nat Wilburn
Head of Schools
On behalf of our Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce that Sacred Heart Schools on Sheridan Road—the Academy of the Sacred Heart for Girls and Hardey Preparatory School for Boys—will be opening a preschool. This new Early Childhood Program will welcome three- and four-year-old children and their families in to the mission of Sacred Heart education. The preschool will be located at Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 N. Sheridan Rd., just a few blocks south of Sacred Heart's SK-8 campus.
The landscape of elementary education has expanded in recent history and is now defined as Pre-K through 8th grade in Chicago. However, senior kindergarten will remain the main entrance point for Sacred Heart education. We are committed to maintaining our long-standing admissions model, including Early Decision for senior kindergarten admission, and will continue to partner with preschools throughout the city as a means of enrolling students in Sacred Heart's senior kindergarten.
Registration begins Sept. 1, 2018. Please direct any questions or inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
As we embark upon our 142nd year of educating Chicago's children in our independent, Catholic and Sacred Heart tradition, please join me and all members of our Sacred Heart community as we celebrate the expansion of our mission to preschool-aged children and their families.
