Student Experience

The Student Experience at Sacred Heart

Our school is organized into three divisions: Primary School, Lower School, and Middle School.

Each division educates students at key stages of their development, providing an age-appropriate academic program grounded in the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart education. Together, our divisions form one cohesive community dedicated to nurturing confident learners, compassionate leaders, and individuals of faith and purpose.

The Sacred Heart community is known for its vibrancy and warmth.

We are committed to being a welcoming and inclusive community where talents are celebrated, and where each person is valued, cared for and respected. At Sacred Heart, each student is known and loved, and each family is welcomed.

Our Library

The Library has around 12,000 physical books, thousands of eBooks and audiobooks, 3 online research encyclopedias, and several digital newspaper and magazine subscriptions.  

The library has 1 full-time Librarian.

SK has one library class within the six-day schedule; Grades 1-5 have Library every other cycle. Middle School students do not have a formal scheduled library class, but use resources for research papers and projects, and often visit the space for books and other activities

Our Health Office

Our school has two full-time nurses to support our students in being their happiest and healthiest selves! 

We have a nurse dedicated to supporting our preschool program, as well as a nurse dedicated to our SK-8th grade students.

Our nurses also teach health class to our Middle School students.

SEL

Our SEL curriculum helps students build key life and communications skills. Our three full-time counselors teach SEL to students of all ages.

Spiritual Life

We offer opportunities deepen in personal faith for students of all backgrounds and religious traditions. We work with our Catholic students to prepare for the sacraments, and teach the Catholic religious traditions. We walk with our students of all faiths as they explore their unique spiritual life.

Service Learning

Our students learn the importance of supporting their communities, in a meaningful and hands-on way. We offer these opportunities for students of all ages. From food drives to off-site trips to local non-profits, our students love supporting the community through service learning.

The Learning Center

The Learning Center offer various academic supports for students, working together to see them succeed.

Athletics

We offer a wide array of athletic opportunities!

Arts

From visual arts to music and theatre, there are many opportunities for students to explore the arts.

After the school day ends, Sacred Heart offers a variety of clubs, sports, and extracurriculars to continue educating the whole child.

From clubs like Girl Scouts and Taekwondo to a wide array of athletic teams, we are excited to offer students many ways to explore their interests, discover new talents, and grow in confidence. Beyond the classroom, our extracurricular programs help nurture well-rounded students who are curious, courageous, and engaged members of our school community.
