Each September all new students, faculty and staff are inducted into membership on either the Red or White Spirit Team. They receive a bandana to indicate their team, and teams compete all year to win the Annual Color Competition.
We are Sacred Heart! Every year we celebrate our Sacred Heart pride during two different spirit weeks in the fall and in the winter. Themes included Comfy Clothes Day, Sports and Activities Day, 80's Day, and Red and White Day. Penny Wars took place during the weeks and all proceeds go towards scholarships for students attending the Sacred Heart School in Uganda.
Following the Gaudete Mass each December, we have the annual holiday hot dog lunch. There is a festive mood as jokes are told, songs are sung and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas is read.
Congé, which translated from the French means to 'take leave' or 'farewell,' offers a day for students to take leave of the rigors of their studies and their seriousness of purpose to bring forth and experience joy. This year students were surprised with a Halloween Congé.
